Transform by what comes out of our Mouths

Daily Devotion: "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear" Ephesians 4:29. An important part of transformation is watching what you say. Changing your heart and mind will result in a change in your behavior towards yourself and others. This can also be a very difficult process for many of us. For someone used to being in control, releasing control to God can be a hard choice; or if you are someone who never exercises willpower, finding the strength to say no, takes fortitude. Most of all, as the passage in Ephesians suggests, what comes out of our mouths often reflects what's in our hearts and that can be a hard truth to face sometimes when we take a step back and reflect on the what we say to others or how we speak to and about others. We are charged to love one another, that does not mean we are always going to LIKE one another :), after all, we are human beings with different personalities and different paths in lives; we will get upset, annoyed, and angry with each other along the way. However, its how we chose to deal with those emotions and allow to affect out lives that will help change or hinder our transformation process. Negative emotions CAN have a physical impact on our health as well. Today's challenge is to take some time to examine whether negative words, and emotions are impacting your transformation. "Those who are careful about what they say keep themselves out of trouble" Proverbs 12:18. If negativity is affecting your spiritual and physical health, make a list of ways you can remove that influence from your life. Whether its an apology that's needed, counseling, forgiveness, prayers, make today the day you start fresh.

Daily Workout: A great cardio workout I did over the weekend on my treadmill. Stopping to do the strengthening workouts after each mile, gave me a break :) but starting up again required an extra push of energy both in mind and for the legs.
